ABV: 40%

Origin: Once the grapes are crushed and pressed in winemaking, the remaining fruit, stems, and seeds of the harvest are called ‘pomace’. Discarded Spirits Co. has distilled this grape waste to form the base of our Grape Skin Vodka. The additional flavour complement again originates from the wine industry. When wine is dealcoholized, the ‘wine alcohol’ is separated from the wine. This ‘wine alcohol’ is typically sold on or even destroyed. However, Discarded have taken this Spanish Chardonnay wine alcohol and celebrated its refined unique flavour within our innovative, sustainable and utterly delicious Grape Skin Vodka.

Appearance: clear yet richly textured vodka full of flavour.

Nose: Clean, green apple, almond croissant, lychee.

Tasting Note: Luscious mouthfeel, Williams pear, guava, starfruit, pink peppercorn finish.

Suggested mixer: In a zero-waste Grape Skin Martini, a vodka & soda that is tropical and full of flavour, a sustainable Espresso Martini made with spent coffee liqueur or sustainable spritz.

Discarded is a grape-based vodka using fruit recovered from wine making, using the stems, seeds and skin (aka the ‘pomace’) of the harvest to salvage what is left from the wine industry. With our zero- waste pack, as our packaging is 100% recyclable (made from at least 65% recycled materials).
