Bright crimson with a dense dark cherry core

Dominated by brooding dark fruits, liquorice and notes of mulberry leaf, balanced by the cooler, fresh aromatics of cabernet sauvignon. Exotic, inviting.

Summer berry compote with a subtle, appealing, vanilla bean crème brûlée finish. Clearly defined tannins enhance the texture, all while building persistence and mouthfeel.

Max’s constant pursuit of excellence paved the way for those who followed in his footsteps and also allowed the status and heritage of Penfolds to grow.
