Today Bollinger remains one of the few independent family-owned and managed Champagne houses, with each family member passionate about safeguarding the distinctive style that sets Bollinger Champagne apart. Founded in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger, and soon earned a reputation for quality. The house owns vineyards in some of the best villages and grows almost two thirds of the grapes used in its wines; such significant vineyard ownership is most rare amongst the major champagne houses. Perfect for drinking on its own or with fish, seafood or light meats
